Psychiatry is a religion- no blood tests and takes faith to trust it- you sure you want to take pills all your life?Trama from verbal abuse, ignoring, father gone lets other things start. Seeing ghosts, anorexia, cutting, OCD, anxiety, panic attacks, hearing voices, adhd can all come from a tramautic past. Its opens doors to the negative and then there is now a drawing in of it which can instantly cause crying and more..
So, youre not just feeling bad from your past. You also have an exterior force adding to it. This is what causes rapid cycling mistaken for Bi polar. How could a chemical shift back and forth? Does it have intelligence? How would a disease form complete sentences in people who hear voices? A disease cannot think for itself.
Demons are fallen angels, angels who rebelled against God. Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons masquerade as “angels of light” and as “servants of righteousness.” Appearing as a “ghost” and impersonating and talking as a deceased human being definitely is a disguise that demons use and do other things like messing with your mind even when they are not visible.
Hearing voices? - Common words heard-- Lets kill him/her/rape. So you have more than one entity speaking. Voices are heard plural. This is the classic demonic example.
PLUS - What mental illness causes objects to move in the house of the victims? Why do some wake up with cuts on their bodies after sleep paralysis? This is only a partial list.
Theres power in Jesus NAME.....

I have been on Lithium since 1983, and it is the single most important drug in my drug regimen. It is ONLY effective against Bipolar disorder. Your doctor will be taking blood tests to check liver and kidney function to determine that you will not get toxic and are hydrating correctly. You will be thirsty on Lithium. I would INSIST that you get thyroid tests done at the same time as your other blood tests, because Lithium suppresses thyroid function in some people, and if you're one of them, you will gain weight. I gained weight despite running 6 miles per day, because my thyroid levels dropped. Get your TSH checked (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) as often as your other blood tests. I had one aunt who had mild thyroid disease, so I don't think it was necessarily genetic. It started when I went on lithium. I also became very tired.Make sure your doctor treats the SYMPTOMS of the disease and not the chart or label. I function pretty well on a tiny dose of antidepressant because I was recently depressed, two mood stabilizers, dexedrine for depression (does not cause weight gain--in fact, the opposite, plus it helps dopey reactions to medication, but it might increase your anxiety), and I take Abilify. This sounds like a lot, but it wipes out symptoms. I just started 25 mg. tablets of Zoloft (1/2 pill twice a day--that's my new antidepressant). I also take .175 mg of synthroid, which will only aid weight loss IF you have hypothyroidism. It takes about a year to get your thyroid level right. On this regimen, plus watching what I eat and mild exercise, I have dropped 15 pounds with little effort.
Seroquel is notorious for weight gain and fatigue, and Lovan slows you down. The lithium should even the playing field as far as losing, as long as you don't have hypothyroidism. But make your doctor check it. He's supposed to anyway. The instructions to lithium say so.
I listed all my meds because a psychiatrist who places a bipolar patient JUST ON lithium doesn't know what he is doing. If you show symptoms, which I'm sure you will, don't let him take away your lithium. Make him add stuff (NEVER take Clozapine) or get another doctor. Look for mood levelers like tegretol and lamictal. And try Abilify.
Sorry about the PTSD. It muddies the waters for treating Bipolar disorder.
Best of luck to you, and I'm sure you'll be dropping the weight soon!!
