Question: Pets that are herbivorous and or restrictively ormnivorous?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Guinea pigsdegus
chinchillas
Uromastyx lizards.
African pygmy hedgehogs...these are insectivores in the wild but in captivity they can live quite happily off cat food, occasional egg and the very odd piece of fruit. If you are ok feeding the likes of cooked chicken they will appreciate that too...I have pygmy hedgehogs they make great pets, quite low maintenance and adorably cute.
I am unclear as to whether you mean you wouldn't be happy to feed an animal say, a piece of chicken or not, so I have left many species out.
All of these (except hedgehogs) are entirely herbivorous.
BTW, marsupials are mammals!
Answer #2:
check out crested geckos :)They are really cute little things, and take very well to handling.
They are technically omnivorous, but can happily be fed a complete powdered diet that rules out the need for insects.
They are very interesting animals, and not too expensive or difficult to care for at all

giant land snails, hissing cockroaches and giant african millipedes make surprisingly good pets!
They are interesting, pretty, calm, docile and herbivorous!
Like the gecko, they wont make a mess or a noise and wont demand hours of your time, but still appreciate a cuddle every now and again
Answer #3:
I have pet chickens and pet sheep! Probably you are looking for a house pet...rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, gerbil, fish...
or something bigger
