Question #1:

Willpower for diet and exercise?

I've been trying to lose weight for years now, but I can never seem to stick to diets. The longest I've ever stuck to a diet has been two weeks. I don't know how to motivate myself to stick to exercise and avoiding unhealthy things.

A few days ago I was going to go out for a run every day before school, but I failed at the very first attempt. I woke up at 6am, thought sod it, and went back to sleep.

I want to permanently change myself so that I can have a body that I won't feel embarrassed of. I want to be one of the boys in my class who can just enjoy themselves without having to worry about how ugly they might look right now.

I'm not fat, just a bit chubby. My fat seems to be mainly in my torso, especially the chest and belly area. It isn't even that much, but I want to be toned and slim and happy, not chubby and miserable. If anyone could suggest a way for me to stick permanently to healthy eating and an excercise routine, I would be very happy. I'm 6 foot 2 inches, broad shouldered and a 15 year old male.

Question #2:

Question #3:

I am 16 yrs old And Am on a diet through The Metabolic Weight Center... And Im on the profast plan....?

This is the first Plan and You fast and only drink shakes or eat little one cup meals for about a week.... And Today I havent eaten any of them at all and Im wondering if this is bad...
I started The diet on the first of July it is now the third. So this is only my third day. Yes the shakes are provided through the program. Excercise during this stage of the diet isnt really recommended but the doctor told me that I could continue doing my walking. This is not a starvation thing it is just a detox/fast to get all the fatty foods out of my system. It is a good program with a big success rate. Profast is the first stage and after you complete it you move on to a different meal plan. It only lasts for a week because you cant survive on Protein alone and Thats wat the shakes and lil meals are packed full of... Im not sure of my weight loss my weigh in is next wed. Hopefully I lose about twenty pounds, That will be a good jump start weight loss for me.

Oh, and what are some good drinks to keep me hydrated and energized while I play? Please keep in mind that I can't have anything with caffeine because of my heart.

Question #5:

I had sex 8 days ago and I broke up with my boyfriend 2 days ago and I feel like I'm pregnant?

but I may also be stressed out. It was a really difficult break up we have only been dating for 3 months. My last period was June 14-21st and I feel like I can't wait for my period. I have some of the fallowing symptons:

1. Dizziness when standing (almost everytime)
2. Fatigue
3. Always tired, sluggish
4. Slight Tender Breasts
5. Sick

I've been crying alot and my diet has changed these past couple of weeks so I feel like some of these symptoms can be explained with my lack of food in my diet. I don't choose to not eat, I love food it's just I'm never hungry and it may be because it's now summer break.

I am not on birthday control, I am waiting to start after my next period. I am getting a blood test today, will it be able to tell me if I'm pregnant? Do these symptoms sugest conception? also by stressing myself out am I causing my period to perhaps come late?

I just feel like I can't wait another 9 days to find out.. I really need to know now.
...Either you're rude or ignorant. But breaking up with your boyfriend causes stress and can sometime delay your period. I'm not being a hypercondriac. I'm being careful, It's my body and I am concerned.

Fat cat help please ?

We have 2 kittens and about a month ago we got a 3rd cat, she is 4 years old and 8kg! (fat) her old owner died and so Pippa (cat) spent alot of time at the vet where we brought her from. Pip is losing weight and has a waste line (she is on a diet the vet put her on) she is very nice and get along well with the kittens. She spends alot of her time sleeping when its day time.

At night time before we go to be she is hyped up and she has slowly learnt (from the kittens) to run around and chase bits of string we dangle in fount of her, the only thing is we can't play with her much because of her sleeping patterns. If we wake her up in the day and try to play with her then she gets mad and runs off to sleep. (Our cats are indoor cats) So is there any thing I can do to try and make her more active?? And also what are some good cheap toys for lazy cats???? the string works but gets boring after a while.

My daughter is 10 and a half months old and drinking 3 x 9oz bottles of formula a day.

When did you begin introducing cows milk to your little one's diet, or when do you plan to?
I know the recommended age is 12 months so don't even think about lecturing me, I'm after personal opinions from mums.
Any offensive or disrespectful answers will be reported.
Stag: thanks for your answer, but please learn to spell... it's frustrating!
Kingsnake: I love you... You sound exactly like me! You're my new best friend :P
Stag: Source, recommendation, introduce, mix.
And you did not say the same as Kingsnake... the extra 'rant' at the end of their answer is what I was commenting on :)

Question #13:

Anyone know where I can get info on free gastric bypass surgery? .?

I recently lost my job and insurance and diet and exercise just isn't cutting it. I need to find the cheapest but safest way possible to get the surgery.

Question #14:

What do you think about this [ I wrote ]?

It's for summer school. We have to pick any three myths and disprove them. I chose mine in the diet section. HOw do you like it? Any suggestions? Any comments or constructive criticism? Will give 10pts

1. Being Slightly Overweight is Bad for your health
Not quite so. As it turns out, it could be exactly the opposite. According to a recent Canadian study, people slightly overweight live longer than than those of a medically normal or healthy range. Even though the study only looked at deaths during, not quality of life.It is becoming clear that a few extra pounds may help protect the human body. So yeah go ahead and have that extra bowl of pasta, just not everyday.

2. Skipping breakfast will help you lose weight
As much I wish it did it doesn't. Statistics show that as many as one in four, to one in two Americans don't consume breakfast. Researchers have found that not eating a breakfast can contribute to high cholesterol levels, a decreases sensitivity to insulin, weight gain, heart disease and iron deficiency among other things. Just some more reasons to consume breakfast.

3. For women, weight training will make you look masculine
Nope! To bulk up from weight training would take a lot of weight lifting and a diet with lots of protein. Strength training will increase the amount of muscle you have, which in turn will increase your metabolism, but not
likely will not give you very much added bulk. The reason behind this is because women don't make enough testosterone as men. They see men weight lift and get bulky and think that will happen to them, but because women don't produce very much testosterone, the hormone that allows men to build muscle as the do.

Question #15:

Is this a balanced diet?

I want to be and stay exactly 90 pounds. I am 93 right now. Will this help me reach and stay at my goal? (I'm a vegetarian.)

Breakfast: A piece of toast with lowfat butter and a piece of fruit.

Then I go run half a mile.

Lunch: Any sandwich on wheat bread and some kind of fruit.

Dinner: A salad with lowfat dressing and something like bread or a potato for carbs.

Then I go run half a mile.

If the only thing I drink is water, is this a balanced diet that will help maintain a 90 pounds? Oh and is it okay if I occasionally cheat?
I have a small frame. Don't tell me I need to gain weight, because that would mess up everything. I'm only a little over 5'2".

Question #16:

Is eating slow a good thing...?

Ok usually i tend to shove food in my
mouth and chew for like only 9-13 times
before swallowing. I get full fast that way
but get hungry like an hour later.

While on my diet (lifestyle change) I trained myself to eat slow and chew like an average
person. Doing this im some what more
statisfied without eating so much.

So is this a good thing? and why?
